Moviemaking Experience

Registration is now open!

Session 1: July 9-14, 2018   |   Session 2: July 16-21, 2018

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be behind the camera for a feature film or television show? Do you think about camera angles and pans, pacing and sutures that build tension and excitement in a scene?
If the answer is yes, then join us for the week-long cinematography experience at Camp Josepho this summer. This overnight resident camp links Boy Scouts with local film industry professionals to make a short film and earn three merit badges not typically offered at other summer camps: Moviemaking, Theater and Communications (an Eagle-Required Merit Badge!). Cost: $260/Scout before May 1st, $275/Scout after May 1st, $90/adult.

2018 Dates:

  • July 9-14
  • July 16-21

Check out these spectacular short films that Scouts made to earn the Moviemaking, Communication, and Theater Merit Badges their summer at Camp Josepho. You can see them in the sub menus or at the 2015 Camp Josepho YouTube Channel and the 2014 Camp Josepho YouTube Channel.
