Camp Josepho is now home to a state-of-the-art Orienteering Course!

It’s organized into 5 separate levels, All courses together are sufficient to satisfy requirements for the Orienteering Merit Badge.

White

Map and Control Sheet | Cub Scouts, ADA compliant

White is the easiest level, a 510-meter course that includes several control points and is perfect for getting your feet wet in the wide world of Orienteering!

Yellow

Map and Control Sheet | Beginner

Yellow is a step up, with a total of 2.2 km between control points. Designed for older Cub Scouts, Webelos and beginner Orienteers. The Yellow course will satisfy the Boy Scout First Class orienteering requirement.

Orange

Map and Control Sheet | Easy

Orange starts to get tougher, with a longer hike totaling 4.2 km. Perfect for young Boy Scouts!

Brown

Map and Control Sheet | Intermediate

The Brown course involves more terrain and covers 5.5 km between control points. More difficult, recommended for Boy Scouts and experienced Orienteers.

Green

Map and Control Sheet | Advanced

The Green course is our most advanced course in camp and involves a 8.1 km hike. This course will satisfy the Boy Scout Second Class 5-mile orienteering requirement.
